Step back in time and celebrate 1976 at the Jesse H. Jones Library in downtown Houston. The celebration will be a lively, all-ages themed event. Enjoy a special storytime, test your moves on the roller rink, challenge yourself with trivia, get creative with crafts and groove to music that brings the era to life. METRO will be in attendance with information about our services and safety.
METRO will join the Hobby Area Management District for an afternoon of family fun. There will be live entertainment, local vendors, food, activities for all ages, community resources, and opportunities to connect with businesses, public agencies, and organizations serving the Hobby Area. HobbyFest is designed to celebrate community, engage with neighborhoods, create public safety awareness as well as educational opportunities for local students through scholarship initiatives.

Monarchs and Marigolds traditionally serve as a symbol of remembrance of the past and celebration of the future during Dia de los Muertos. The event will feature vendors selling authentic Latin American arts and crafts, live music, dance performances, and family-friendly themed craft projects. METRO will take part in the parade with an antique vehicle, and will be in attendance at the festival with games and giveaways.
