20 Miles of Improvements
This project is designed to benefit commuters along the 56 Airline / Montrose route between Greenspoint Transit Center and the Texas Medical Center. Construction is in progress. Some of the enhancements you will see include:
- New or improved sidewalks along and / or near the route
- Improved accessibility along the route with safer crossings and new ramps for wheelchair and stroller access
- Bus shelters with lighting for improved safety and new trash cans
- Digital, real-time bus arrival information

Location
4.5 miles from Greenspoint Transit Center to West Road along Aldine Bender, Imperial Valley Drive, Northchase Drive, Greens Road and Benmar Drive.
Status
Construction is in progress by Harris County Precinct 2.
Location
2.0 miles from West Road to Gulf Bank Road along Airline Drive.
Status
Construction is in progress on Airline Drive between Gulf Bank Road and Cavalcade Street.

- 6.0 miles from Gulf Bank Road to Cavalcade Street along Airline Drive.
- 0.4 miles from Airline Drive to Studewood Street along Cavalcade Street.

Design and construction are complete.

1.5 miles from Cavalcade Street to White Oak Drive along Studewood Street.

Design is complete, but construction hasn't begun.

1.5 miles from White Oak Drive to Allen Parkway along Montrose Boulevard and Studemont Street.
