Public Hearings & Notices

METRO often holds public hearings which are community discussions about proposed service changes or other topics. All meetings are held in-person at 1900 Main Street and accessible via remote video conference. If you’d like to make a public comment, we suggest you register as a speaker at least 48 hours before the meeting. Just email BoardOffice@RideMETRO.org or call 713-739-4834. We’ll need your name, address and telephone number.

By preregistering, your comments will be heard first at the public hearing. Otherwise, you’ll have the option to provide comments after the preregistered speakers. Upcoming public hearings will be posted below.

The program aims to improve mobility for seniors and individuals with disabilities by removing barriers to transportation service and expanding transportation mobility options. This program supports transportation services planned, designed, and carried out to meet the special transportation needs of seniors and individuals with disabilities in all areas. Eligible projects include both "traditional" capital investment and "nontraditional" investment beyond the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) complementary paratransit services.

Projects that provide transportation services for seniors and individuals with disabilities will receive priority consideration.
